“Horses and Hatha” Retreat

Retreat cost: $360 includes all activities and meals. Space is limited, so reserve your spot as soon as possible, before October 10th.

Room cost: charged separately and will vary based on specific room chosen (two twin beds or one queen bed, and private bathroom or shared bathroom). View room options, then call Susan at 407-509-1981 to reserve your room.

Minimums and maximums: With four cozy rooms at Soul Haven Ranch, our minimum will be four guests with one person per room, and our max will be eight people with two people to a room.

This spectacular, multi-acre property boasts a gorgeous Victorian home with four bedrooms featuring upscale, tasteful, and cozy furnishings. 39170aea-fd18-4003-bd62-0c3b57bdea15-1.jpgThe ranch feels like you’re miles away from everything, and yet it’s just one block from the West Orange Trail and one mile to historic downtown Winter Garden. Just a hop, skip, and a jump away, you’ll find the Saturday Farmer’s Market, casual and fine dining restaurants, unique shops, a local brewery, and the Garden Theater.image001 (2).jpgInside the house, you’ll have access to your beautiful room with either a shared or private bathroom. You can relax or read in the airy living room, or brew yourself a cup of coffee or tea or grab a healthy snack in the spacious kitchen whenever you like.af24606d-9a4b-4b30-a7e9-791ac075d3dc.jpgOutside, you can spend time on the wrap-around front porch with twin rocking chairs, sit at the table and chairs under the gazebo, or rest in the hammocks and swings under large oak trees. Retreat itinerary:

After settling in Friday, we’ll have a friendly meet and greet over tea and snacks, followed by an afternoon yoga class to get your relaxing weekend started off right. That evening, you’ll have time to explore downtown Winter Garden on your own, with lots of dining options just a mile away on foot or by bike. Relax in the hammock, write in your journal, or say hello to the horses in their stables before resting your head on your comfy pillow for the night.

On Saturday morning, we’ll start with a luxurious and healthy breakfast together with longer introductions and ice-breaker questions to get to know each other a little better. After breakfast, we’ll gather under the oaks for a workshop on gratitude and the power of positive thinking followed by some time to relax and integrate everything you’ve learned.4173b5c6-9d65-43c9-ad45-ef5ed54d50ea.jpgNext, we’ll gather in the kitchen for a light lunch and a roundtable chat on the benefits of various medicinal herbs and how to use them every day. We’ll create some tasty herbal snacks to enjoy together, and you’ll go home with lots of new ideas on how to incorporate healing herbs in your every day menus.

We’ll have ample time to rest and digest in the afternoon before our rejuvenating afternoon yoga class under the trees. After yoga, you are welcome to stay outside and relax some more, take to your room for a nap, or enjoy a walk on the West Orange trail. aba23248-6ef0-48d6-a695-2fce6b0629fb.jpgWe’ll savor a group dinner in the lovely dining room, and we can have a lively roundtable discussion about everything we learned and experienced throughout the day. After dinner, we’ll gather outside for a bonfire with fireside meditation before retiring to bed for the night.

On Sunday morning, you can help yourself to a light breakfast buffet before we meet the minis and you’ll be paired off with a highly trained miniature therapy horse. IMG_1809.jpgThe companionship you will experience with your miniature equine partner can be a wonderful foundation of your personal growth, as your mini will offer an emotional mirror for you.  The minis have a strong emotional sense, responding to the feeling state you show, and will help you identify your feelings.

Plus, being in the barn grooming and caring for our miniature horses reduces stress lowers blood pressure, and improves overall health.

After our time with the minis, we’ll pack up our rooms and then enjoy our last yoga class with meditation under the trees. We’ll gather for a final closing lunch and share ideas for bringing it all home and keeping our efforts toward health, wellness, and life balance vibrant and alive once we’re back in our regular life routines.

After that, you’re free to stay on the property until 3pm, and then options include taking a walk on the West Orange Trail to enjoy all that downtown Winter Garden has to offer, or heading home if you so choose.132796.jpegWe look forward to sharing this wonderful weekend of health, wellness, and relaxation with you!
